optimized exposure at conferences

 

Businesses don't always realize how much MORE they can get from their investment. They select their conference plan at the beginning of the year, and buy registrations for their BD teams. Maybe they  "up" their level of investment with an exhibit booth.  But...there's much MORE you can do to get ROI.


Take it from someone who's been on the other side of the table. Not only do we have experience working for numerous conference providers, but we've managed conference engagement for many clients.  We work alongside your team to put together the perfect package that enhances your visibility and increases ROI.


Below are just a few "highlights" of opportunities we could explore, however, the answer is NOT the same for every company.

It comes from our experience working for conferences. There is ALWAYS extra inventory. And no sales rep wants to see money lost! My team will be the intermediary working between your company and the conference organizer to ensure you get the absolute best pricing and best exposure. 



sponorship

If you are sending more than two people, it might benefit you to look into sponsorships. Often these packages start around the same cost as the price of a ticket, but include enhanced exposure for your company.  

  • Exhibit booth - a great way to showcase your brand and give your BD a "home base" to meet attendees
  • Lanyard or badge sponsorship puts your company name in front of every attendee.
  • Sponsor a particular session that will attract the exact segment you want to reach (which often includes lead-generation lists) 
  • Leverage digital opportunities (see below)

If your CEO or another senior-level executive is attending who has particular expertise or knowledge about one of the topics on the conference agenda...pitch them for a speaker slot!  Conference organizers have a LOT of spots to fill (and sometimes cancellations) - your outreach is often helpful to them helping them to fill speaker slots that were not full, and gives your company additional exposure AND a "nod" to your expertise. 


Often with speaker engagements, you'll get additional promotion and potentionally the opportunity to feature your senior executive in an interview or podcast for enhanced editorial coverage. 

digital advertising

Conference organizers often have a lot of opportunities to reach other attendees through various digital opportunities. 

  • newsletter or event website banner ads (leverage conference communications to heighten awareness of your brand) 
  • Sponsor landing pages, digital aps, etc.  Consider a splash page or banner so people see your brand every time they log in! 
  • Pre- and post- email campaigns are often available so you can let people know you'll be at the event and send follow up emails. 

engage on social media

It goes without saying...but if you are attending a conference (particularly if one of your goals is networking and generating leads) - have a pre- and post-conference strategy that includes active networking and engagement on your social channels (particularly LinkedIn). 

  • Let people know you are attending via posts and engagement
  • Connect with other attendees and request meetings in advance
  • Engage with content / educational material from organizers
